The People of the Stars
The Eldar (Q."Star-People") were those Quendi who undertook the Great Journey from
Cuivienen in contrast to the Refusers or Avari.
The Eldar were themselves divided into the High-Elves or Tareldar (the Vanyar, Noldor and Falmari) and the Umanyar (the Sindar and Nandor).
The Eldar spoke Eldarin of which archaic Noldorin, Telerin and archaic Vanyarin were the three main dialects.
