Pelondolin the remains of Gondolin
The Echoriad, Crissaegrim, and Hûb Gondolin were the remnants of the vale of Gondolin and its lofty peaks, having become perilous rocks and shoals, or forbidding islands. The Great Eagles which once had lived here have emigrated to the mainland, to the Ered Luin or the Misty Mountains, but they might circle the island in the hunt for prey.
