The Eastern Gardens (B.S. "Aldnânud") were a legendary miracle of nature in eastern Middle-Earth. Vast fields, orchards and hanging gardens bearing myriads of fruits. The Gardens were, however, tended by mannish servants of Sauron in the late Third Age. The origin of the Gardens was unknown but some Loremasters had guessed that they may have been planted by the Entwives after the destruction of their gardens in the Brown Lands. Other explorers however supposed a much darker secret as the true origin of the Garden's plentifulness.
