Probable region containing Dur nor-Belgoth (MERP)
Dur nor-Belgoth (Dn. place-name) was the ruin of an ancient Daen site. It was almost completely sunk within the great swamps of Gorbelgod, and a nesting place of the Great Swans.

Dur nor-Belgoth originally was an earlier form of Gorbelgod, and appeared only briefly in J.R.R. Tolkien's unfinished short story "The Tale of Tal-Elmar". The story does not specify its exact location, though it may have been in the vicinity of Agar.
