Doronir was a Gondorian soldier who served in the military of Minas Tirith. As a loyal soldier to Gondor, Doronir is shown to be a very strong soldier and fights enemy in hand to hand combat rather than using a sword, spear, or axe. During the War of the Ring, he had been guarding the Gate of Stars until Minas Tirith was under attack by the armies of Mordor.
