Anfauglith (S. "Gasping Dust") was the plain of Ard-galen (S. "Green Region") after its desolation by Morgoth in the Battle of Sudden Flame (1.A. 455); translated in the text as 'the Gasping Dust". Also called Dor-nu-Fauglith (S. "Land under Choking Ash"). Located between the Iron Mountains in the north and Dorthonion in the south, and between Ered Wethrin in the west and Lothlann and Ered Luin in the east.
