Dol Tarlang was the northernmost of three peaks of Tarlang´s Neck. According to an old legend of the Mountainmen the southernmost, Cûl Bin, and it's middle pendant Cûl Veleg had once been loads of rocks the old giant Tarlang had been carrying when he fell and broke his neck. The northernmost peak, Dol Tarlang was believed to have formed out of Tarlang's skull.
