The Desert Rúkhim were small, only 4 ft tall, humans clad in animal skins and sinew, with wiry, sand-colored skin and hair and brown eyes with no whites visible. They were common in the Haradwaith but were only rarely seen by larger folk and were usually considered to be mythical.
Armed with spears and bows, they lived as nomadic hunter-gatherers in small groups of often no more than ten individuals led by male chieftains and wise women.
They had bad experiences with other men and usually shunned them, why they spoke barely Haradaic.Their wise women were often Beastmasters and known to summon jackals, with which the Rukhim lived in close friendship. These Wise women also knew illusion spells and were able to turn their tribesmen and affiliates invisible to outsiders.
Rukhim were not by nature, cruel or aggressive.
