The Dark Regions (Q. "Lumboménar"; Ad. "Dulgithâni") were unexplored and widely unknown lands discovered by Eärendil the Mariner on his first voyage.They were most likely located in the South, between later Harad and Aman.The Fire mountains most likely were a part of these lands or in their close neighbourhood. The local inhabitants were said to have been Tree-men, Pygmies and a race of cannibal Ogres, the Sarqindi.
