A Danan Lin Couple

Danan Lin and Daen Coentis Settlement in the Second Age
The Danan Lin (Dn.:"men who turned away") were a tribal group of Daen in the Second Age. They were relatives or shared the same ancestors with the Donan and once lived within or close to the Brown Lands where they were pupils and adherents of the Entwives whom they knew as Three Mothers and Maidens of the Goddess.
After Sauron's forces had devastated these lands, the forefathers of the Danan Lin crossed the river Anduin and settled the valleys and coastal areas of later Gondor. The Ethir-Folk or Marsh Folk of Gondor were their direct descendants.
