Cuthan, son of Hujai was a man of Angmar, of Austrorathian descend he was, along with his father, one of the two village carpenters in the angmarean settlement of Kuska.Cuthan was a former fighter,who had just completed his term of service in the army. Both of his elder brothers were killed fighting for Angmar.Hujaj was waiting for his son to find a wife so he could retire and spend his days before a warm fire.
