The Cracks of Illuin (Av. "Samber Illûgni") were a great canyon in north-central Middle-Earth that was created by the fall of the lamp (or Mountain) Illuin. The Cracks of Illuin had been the site of a terrible battle between Sauron and the Ithryn Luin.
