A Corslet is a full set of defensive armour covering the body, including breastplate or cuirass, neckpiece, back.In ancient times corslets could be made of bronze or linen , later iron and could also refer to types of lamellar and scale armour.
The Dwarves of the Ered Luin and Sindarian Nobles wore a type of corslet ("Ammos") in addition to mail armour (Garion).
