A Composite Bow is a bow made of disparate materials laminated together, mainly strong wood, horn or bone. Composite bows are usually recurve short bows.

In Middle-earth composite bows were used by the Umli, Black Númenóreans, Rohirrim, Half-Elves, Noldor, Sindar and the Corsairs of Umbar.
