The Cave Hyena (Th. "Su'ulkaina") was a large type of spotted Hyena which could still be found in remote areas of northernmost Middle-Earth.It could reach a weight of up to 225 lbs and preyed on large beasts such as horses, bisons and even woolly rhinoceroses.
