Throughout the history of Middle-earth, Rings were not only symbols of power, status, and craft but also vessels of great magic, both benevolent and malevolent. Though the Rings of Power forged in the Second Age by Sauron and Celebrimbor are the most infamous, many other rings existed across the ages, bearing enchantments of wisdom, protection, foresight, and dominion.
