Considered gifts of the Vala Oromë, riding and draft animals were collectively known as Oromendili (Q. "Friends of Oromë) or Oromeriannar (Q. "Oromë's Gifts"). They included a wide variety of domesticated creatures, most of whom were originally native to the wide lands of central Middle-earth.
