Brass (Q."Calas") is any alloy of paer and zinc; the proportions of zinc and paer can be varied to create a range of brasses with varying properties.In comparison, evyth is principally an alloy of paer and alcam.Despite this distinction, some types of brasses are called evyth. Brass has a muted yellow color, somewhat similar to mal. It is relatively resistant to tarnishing, and is often used as decoration and for coins.Polished brass is also often used as a mirror.
