Brúni Stonehelm was a bearded Longbeard dwarf of Erebor and had long since waited to reclaim the ancient city of Moria which belonged to his forefathers. After claiming a long lost sword he found in a troll cave, Brúni joined Balin's colony to reclaim Moria.
