Bird-bittern-illustration-clipart

A wading and fishing bird found in the deltas of northwestern Endor, the Bog-hen (S. "Lôhŷl"), or northern heron or "bittern", was known for its strange, resonant, mournful cry. It was a slow, cunning, deliberate hunter that fed on snakes, crustaceans, and fish. Bog-hens migrated, spending their winters in the wetlands along the temperate seacoasts and their summers in the lakes and deltas of the North.
