Bertan "Bert" of the Greenshins was a Hobbit farmer from Nobottle.
History[]
Bertan was one of the suitors of Molliwara of the Bophînwî after her first husband's death in the Dark Plague. They eventually ended up marrying. Although Molly was unusually well-known for her affinity for Elvish lore and magic, Bertan was actually even more gifted at magic than she was, although not even Gandalf could discover where Bert had learned it.
