Beregond of Tuckborough (S. "Valiant-stone"?) was a renowned Scholar of the Reunited Kingdom. A Hobbit of Tookish descent, he published an edition of the "Kuduk Lore"; he also wrote an additional speculative history on the Hobbits "The Big Book of the Little People", which included a treatise on the "Lost Kindreds in the East and South".
