The Beadmakers or Helmivalmistajat were a lost culture of Men who had inhabited the Far North in the First Age. They are believed to have been kinsmen of the Swarthy Men of Beleriand and the Urnfield culture of Eriador (ancestors of the later Angmarrim and Hillmen). The Forodwaith and their Lossoth offspring were sometimes suspected to have been their descendants.
