The Battle of Fornost was the climatic battle near Fornost Erain that defeated the Witch-king and his armies. A combination of elves from Lothlórien, Lindon, and Imladris stood with the remnants of Arthedain (including many Hobbits). Gondor also sent a large expedition against Angmar as well, and the combined forces swept away the forces of darkness, and the Witch-king lost his army.
