Barazbizar (Kh. "Red-valley") was a dwarven mining colony in the Ered Angmar, built close to an ancient Hillman settlement called Dun Cairn. After Dwálin the Wise's heir was betrayed, the mine was settled by Orcs in 1274 T.A., who built the city of Carn Dûm around it's entrance.
