Barad Galen (S. "Tower [of] Green"): An ancient ruin on the Great East Road halfway between the Last Bridge and the Fords of Bruinen. Once the tower of one of the five Dúnadan Tiri of Rhudaur, it later became a traditional stopping point for merchants who wished to trade with the Hillmen.

Notes[]
- Original form in MERP: Barad Calen → Barad Galen (correct lenited Sindarin form)
- In the 2012 version of his article "Population and Urbanization in Eriador", Thomas Morwinsky applied the name "Certhaic" to the location identified in other sources as Barad Calen.(published in Other Minds Magazine #13).The place may be the same as the unnamed ruin near Narlinn's post or Bar-e-Therchir in LOTRO.
