Bachmutha (Me."Abandoned form") was a semi-demonic creature, the father of the Lingwilóki.He was created by Morgoth through unknown sorcery, some also believe he may have been a child of Glaurung.He resided deep within Angband in a dark shadowy realm of waters and mud in form of a repellant being like a gigantic chimaera of a fish and a hippotatamus.

Bahamut was borrowed into the Angband games from arabic folklore where he is a giant fish, equivalent to the biblical Behemoth.
