Bâlak (Av."intensely strong") was a rare enchanted bamboo native to humid, tropical ocean shores. It had light green, hairy leaves about 1' long, and its flowers resembled those of corn; it frequently grew 8' or more high. A tea brewed from young bâlak stalks magically repaired shattered bones.If ingested improperly, bâlak was a strong poison.
