|Boromir: "Is it not a strange fate that we should suffer so much fear and doubt for so small a thing? So small a thing!"|
- J. R. R. Tolkien, The Fellowship of the Ring II:10
Prince Arvallen (S. "Royal-golden") (T.A. 1644 - T.A. 1731) was the first-born son of Arveleg II and Elestel Antiril, and the older brother of Araval. He, along with his wife and daughters, was slain during the Angmar War, and his younger brother would become the thirteenth King of Arthedain.
In The Peoples of Middle-earth, Arvallen was an earlier name for Araval.
