Armenelos (Q. "royal-heaven-fortress"; Ad. Arminalêth), the City of Kings, was the greatest city of Númenor, the royal capital of the island kingdom and the seat of the Kings of the Númenoreans. Situated in the royal demesne of Arandor, east of the Holy Mountain Meneltarma, Armenelos stood as a magnificent beacon of Númenórean power, wisdom, and divine favor, a place of unparalleled splendor, where the wisdom of the Eldar and the craftsmanship of the Edain merged to create the mightiest realm of Men in the Second Age

The city was famed for its soaring white towers, its broad avenues lined with statues and fountains, and the splendor of the House of the Kings, a grand palace adorned with the fruit of Nimloth, the White Tree. It was here that the Sceptre of Númenor was held, where the monarchs ruled in wisdom—until the corruption of the last days led to Ar-Pharazôn’s folly and the eventual Downfall of Númenor.
