The Arfaroth (S. "High-hunter host") or Arfaroni (Q. "High-hunters") were dedicated adherents of Oromë the Huntsman.As pupils of the Lord of the Forests and followers of his ways they often lived as hermits or in small communities on the edges of the great wild forests, they also were skilled horsemen and archers and often the most skilled hunters of the Monsters of Morgoth.

The High-hunters were invented as a stand-in for Oromë-clerics as suggested by some RPG adaptions.Hence the Valar do not have official priests they are ret-conned here as a secular order or a type of Anustari dedicated to a special Vala, but not clergy or a specific cult.
