Arafel (S.A. 750 - 3434) was a beautiful Sinda and one of the tallest wood elves that lived in Mirkwood during the Second Age. She was the daughter of Nemireth and Oropher, and the younger sister of Thranduil, making her the aunt of Heladil. Like her family, Arafel was a very talented Gothwen and volunteered to lead several elven regiments during the War of the Last Alliance against Sauron. She fought valiantly against the enemy in the Battle of Dagorlad, but was overwhelmed by the sheer number of orcs that surrounded her, Nemireth, and another group of elves that served in Nemireth's regiment.
