Arabella Took was a Hobbit who lived in Tookland with her family. She was married to Ferdibrand Took before the War of the Ring began. The couple later eventually moved to Staddle in Bree-land.

In The New Shadow, Arabella Took was a character that would replace the Melba Took of the earlier stages of the story. The character was later replaced by Amanda Took and finally Melilot Brandybuck.
