Apysans in Far Harad
The Apysans (Ap."Swarm") were the descendants of the Altin Emungi (Ap."Meek Wanderers"), a collection of Narnerin tribes of the First and early Second Ages. They became the ancestors of the majority of the inhabitants of Far Harad. Their languages were a number of dialects collectively called Apysaic, of which New Apysan, the common speech of Far Harad, was a late descendant. It has also been guessed that the earliest Apysans were in fact southern relatives of the Bëorians, before they had intermixed with tribes of the Black Men.
