Drúedain creating Pûkelmen
Animate Statues were stone or metal constructs magically instilled with enchanted spirits.Most famous were creations of the Drúadan, or "Wose", culture. Others were the work of the Daen Coentis, people of the White Mountains among whom the Woses lived and worked. Realizing the value of these stone guardians, Sauron also produced a plethora of Pûkel-creatures, the most famous of which were his Silent Watchers.
