Animate plants transcend the boundaries between the Olvar and the Kelvar. They were actually Olvar, but they embodied many of the qualities associated with living things that moved: independent movement of limbs, rational thought, active senses, and in some cases even speech. Originally cared for by the Valie Yavanna, many were, like other monsters, no longer considered part of the Order of Things.
