Amrod (S. masculine name: "High and Lofty") was a man of Gondor who served at the Tower of Cirith Ungol under Gondorian occupation ca. T.A. 1640-1650. He was the tower's Ineithron of the second line of heavy infantry, and the only person close to Balur, the tower's armourer. The two drowned their sorrows together in drink, but Balur had more control than Amrod and his ale-guzzling did not affect his work.
