Amos Appledore was a man of Bree and a member of the Appledore family. He was also known to be a great story-teller and told a lot of great stories about the past, the downfall of Númenor, and the broken line of Kings. Those stories came from his friend Gandalf. He was a business partner of Mr. Bracegirdle from Bywater.
