Tirith Amlach (Or Ost-Amlach) was the stronghold built by Amlach in the Northern Marches of Beleriand. It lay in the northwestern part of Maedhros' Hills and guarded the road between Angrod's Fortress and Barad Caranthir and the second important gateway into Maglor´s Gap.
