Amâv was the mythical First-king, the God-lord Amâv and forefather of the Mûmakani. He was probably a mortal Man, but legend sometimes conflated him with Mûmathûmûr, the Mumak-lord. When Indûr Dawndeath became King of Mûmakan, he claimed the crown by posing as the returned God-lord Amâv and took the title Yî-Amâv II.
In the Third Age, the Ringwraith would return to Mûmakan. From T.A. 1264 to 1640 he thus ruled as Yî-Amâv III. He returned again in T.A. 2460, ruling as Yî-Amâv IV.
