Aerandir (S: "sea-wanderer") was an Elven mariner and a companion of Earendil on his voyages.
Speculations[]
Aerandir's race is never explicitly mentioned by Tolkien, but he was most likely one of the Falathrim, Cirdan's Elves of the Falas.
