Gorfon (S. Aecbalf; Q. Aicahyahnah) was a plant resembling the thistle in its flower and prickly leaves, but growing to almost 2' in height. It was very hard to find as it grew only in high mountain glens within volcanic ranges and was impossible to domesticate. A single fruit grew on each plant, covered by a thorny shell, if its shell was broken, the Gorfon fruit could be dried and saved for up to a year. The fruit usually induced sleep that lasted 10-20 hours and sped up the healing of nerve damage.
