The Abyss (Q. "Undumë", "Mandu", V."Thalūmurē") was the deepest part of the Timeless Halls, it's most exalted region was known as the Firmament (Q."Taitelume") in contrast . Described in whispers among the Ainur as "the Unshaped Beyond," the Abyss is thought to be the boundary between what is and what is not.
