Grandson of Thórin I, of Dúrin´s Folk, Oin was King of the Grey Mountain Dwarves from T.A. 2385 until 2488, when be died. This Dwarf-king is not to be confused with the later Óin son of Gróin, a companion of Thorin Oakenshield.
