`ûrlornar (Av. "Wind Forest") was a vast forest, situated to the west of Vothrig, to the east of Ûlish, and to the north of the coasts of the Sea of Storms, named because of its frequent storms and the frequency of the pirates attacking Númenorean, Ulshyan or Wômaw trade ships. It was inhabited by the 'en'i, Avarin herders and hunters, who had settled there under the light of the Stars. They fought against all who wanted to enter uninvited in their forest, except when humans had peaceful intentions (just like the Ulshyans). Other than that, they were hostile to Orcs and Evil Men.
